The Chattanooga Times Free Press is searching for a Support Service Assistant to assists in supporting goals of the department through reporting, data entry, analysis, documentation, and communication with internal and external customers. You will enter, update and maintain accurate information in various systems including the primary database Newscycle. This position works in concert with various other positions within the company to help support and communicate challenges, goals, and accomplishments that affect the team in regards to the company or any aspects of the department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to re-prioritize when necessary to reach deadlines.
Responsibilities included, but not limit to:
Utilizes critical strategic thinking as well as problem solving skills
Creates, maintains, modifies various documents and databases using Microsoft Office Products, Google Drive, and Crystal Reports
Finds solutions for each customer’s service issue
Manages the procurement of supplies and services
Performs subscription stop save / retention duties when necessary
Participates in project work including but not limited to assisting the Support Services Manager, team and various departments in day to day functions and special assignments.
Enters data, processes reporting and memos, distributes various generated reports
High school diploma or GED certificate
Strong customer service skills
Proficient data entry skills
General computer knowledge to process and maintain reports in Newscycle
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Type 45 words per minute
